Signal cable BiT YnKSY 0.6/1kV – reliability and safety of installation

The BiT YnKSY cable is a flame-retardant signal cable designed for use in energy-intensive control and protection devices and control circuits. It is suitable for both fixed installations and laying directly in the ground or in cable ducts. Its construction and materials guarantee high resistance to external factors and ensure safe operation for a long time.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a solid construction, using copper conductors of class 1 (according to PN-EN 60228). Each conductor is insulated with special PVC, and all conductors are twisted in parallel to ensure better flexibility and easier installation. The sheath is made of flame-retardant PVC, which significantly increases safety in the event of a fire – it limits the spread of fire and the emission of toxic gases. Additionally, the sheath is resistant to UV radiation and oils, allowing the cable to be used in harsh environmental conditions. Conductor marking with numbers facilitates the identification of individual wires during installation and maintenance. The yellow-green wire serves as a protective conductor.

Operating and installation parameters

The BiT YnKSY cable is designed to operate at temperatures from -40°C to 80°C (fixed installation), and the maximum conductor temperature during operation is 70°C. In the event of a short circuit, the conductors withstand temperatures up to 160°C. The minimum bending radius of the cable is 10 times its outer diameter, ensuring comfortable installation even in tight spaces. When laying the cable, remember the permissible tensile forces – pulling directly on the conductors: 50xS (where S is the sum of the cross-sections of the conductors in mm²), and using a handle placed on the cable surface: also 50xS.
