A flexible solution for demanding industrial installations

The BiT 1000®FR control cable is a professional conductor designed for control and signaling circuits, as well as for powering mobile and portable receivers. The cable construction utilizes Class 5 flexible copper strands (in accordance with PN-EN 60228), which provide exceptional flexibility and ease of installation, even in locations subject to vibrations and intensive use.

Construction and materials ensuring durability

The cable construction is based on three cores, each with a cross-section of 2,5 mm², made of high-quality bare copper. Each core features black polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulation with numerical markings to facilitate identification during installation. Additionally, the cable is equipped with a yellow-green (G) protective conductor to ensure operational safety.

The outer sheath of the cable is made of special PVC with self-extinguishing and flame-retardant properties (in accordance with PN-EN 60332-1-2 and PN-EN 60332-3-24 category C). The sheath material is characterized by an oxygen index >29%, making it resistant to fire spread. Furthermore, the sheath is UV-resistant and oil-resistant according to the EN 60811-404 standard (class O2), significantly expanding its range of possible applications.

Operating parameters and operational safety

The BiT 1000®FR cable operates at a rated voltage of U₀/U = 0,6/1 kV, allowing for a wide spectrum of applications in low-voltage installations. The operating temperature ranges from -40°C to +80°C for fixed installations and from -5°C to +70°C for mobile connections, ensuring reliability in both freezing conditions and high temperatures.

The minimum bending radius is 56 mm for fixed installations (approximately 5xØ) and 112 mm for mobile installations (10xØ). The cable weighs 192 kg/km, and its approximate outer diameter is 11,2 mm. The conductor resistance at 20°C is 7,98 Ω/km, and the insulation resistance is a minimum of 20 MΩ×km.

Applications and working environments

The cable effectively limits the spread of flame along the cable installation thanks to the self-extinguishing properties of the outer sheath. It performs well in both dry and damp rooms and can be used outdoors or laid directly in the ground without additional protection.

The flexible design allows the cable to be used as a power supply conductor for mobile and portable receivers, as well as for connections in control and signaling circuits. Its vibration resistance is particularly effective when powering production machinery and technological lines.

Compliance with standards and certificates

The BiT 1000®FR cable meets the requirements of the PN-EN 50575 standard regarding the Construction Products Regulation (CPR) reaction to fire classification - it holds class Eca. The product complies with the LVD directive 2014/35/EU and the RoHS directive 2015/863/EU regarding the restriction of hazardous substances. The manufacturer provides a warranty for a period of 24 months, confirming high manufacturing quality.
