Flanged elbow for water supply installations

This Q flanged elbow, made of grey cast iron GJL, is designed for the construction of water supply installations and systems transporting drinking water and other chemically inert liquids. Manufactured in accordance with PN-EN 1092-2, it ensures a tight and durable connection of pipeline elements. Its construction allows for easy assembly and disassembly if necessary.

Material and working pressure

The elbow is cast from grey cast iron (GJL-250 according to PN-EN 1561), which guarantees strength and corrosion resistance. It is designed to operate at a working pressure of PN16, making it suitable for most standard water supply installations. It is worth remembering that versions made of ductile iron (GJS 500-7 according to PN-EN 1563) are also available, but in this case we are dealing with the GJL version.

Application and installation

The Q flanged elbow is primarily used in:

• water supply installations in residential and industrial buildings,
• drinking water supply systems,
• irrigation systems,
• connections of pipelines with a nominal diameter of DN50.

Assembly is carried out by flanged connection, requiring the use of appropriate gaskets and screws (available separately). The connection dimensions of the flanges are in accordance with PN-EN 1092-2, which ensures compatibility with other system components. The surface of the elbow is coated with a minimum 80 μm thick epoxy powder paint (RAL 5005), which provides additional protection against corrosion.
