Flanged tee – a solid connection in water supply installations

This flanged tee, made of gray cast iron, is a reliable element for connecting pipes in water systems. It is used in drinking water installations and in the flow of other chemically inert liquids. The flanged design ensures a tight and durable connection, minimizing the risk of leaks.

Construction and material

The tee is cast from gray cast iron (GJL-gray cast iron) compliant with EN-GJL 250 according to PN-EN 1561. This material is characterized by high resistance to corrosion and mechanical damage, which guarantees a long service life even in difficult operating conditions. Additionally, the tee is coated with epoxy powder paint (RAL 5005) with a minimum thickness of 80 μm, which provides an additional protective barrier against external factors. For GJL cast iron, a coating with a thickness of 250 μm is also available on special customer order.

Parameters and practical application

The tee with a nominal diameter of DN150x80 and a working pressure of PN10 is designed to connect pipes of different diameters. The flanges of the tee are made in accordance with PN-EN 1092-2, which ensures compatibility with other installation elements with similar mountings. The use of flanged tees facilitates the assembly and disassembly of installation elements, which is particularly important during maintenance or repairs. Thanks to its construction, the tee allows changing the flow direction of the medium in the installation at a right angle.
