Saddle tee is a connecting element, essential in the construction of water supply and industrial installations. It serves to branch pipelines, allowing a change in the flow direction of the medium. This model, with nominal diameters of DN150 and 80, is made of ductile iron (GJS), which guarantees high strength and corrosion resistance. It is designed for use with water and other chemically neutral liquids.

Construction and material

Made of ductile iron (GJS-spheroidal graphite cast iron) in accordance with EN-GJS 500-7 (PN-EN 1563), this tee is characterized by increased mechanical strength compared to elements made of gray cast iron. Ductile iron also provides better resistance to cracking and hydraulic shocks. The flanges of the tee are made in accordance with PN-EN 1092-2, which ensures compatibility with other installation elements with similar connections. The surface of the tee is covered with epoxy powder paint, providing anti-corrosion protection – the coating thickness is at least 250µm for GJS (RAL 5005).

Application and operating parameters

This tee is primarily used in:

• industrial installations using chemically neutral liquids.

Its permissible working pressure is PN16, which means it can be safely used in installations with a pressure of up to 16 bar. It is worth remembering that for tees with a diameter of 80x80, the number of holes in the flange (4 or 8) must be specified when placing the order.
