Street cabinet for fire hydrant – safe access and protection

This street cabinet, designed for mounting above hydrants, provides easy access to the valves of underground water supply fittings while protecting them from mechanical damage and weather conditions. It is a solid solution for both installers and end-users, guaranteeing reliability and long-lasting functionality.

Construction and materials

The cabinet combines two materials to ensure strength and resistance:

• Body: Made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE), which guarantees corrosion resistance and mechanical damage resistance. HDPE is a lightweight yet very durable material.
• Cover: Round cover made of gray cast iron (grade EN-GJL 250 according to PN-EN 1561) provides high resistance to loads, including vehicle traffic. The cover is protected with bituminous paint, which protects it from corrosion and weathering.

This combination of materials is a compromise between durability and weight – making it easier to transport and install the cabinet.
