Material and strength

The fitting is available in two material versions: grey cast iron (EN-GJL 250) and spheroidal cast iron (EN-GJS 500-7). Spheroidal cast iron is characterized by higher mechanical strength and crack resistance than grey cast iron, making it an ideal choice for applications requiring greater safety. Both versions are coated with epoxy powder paint RAL 5005, providing anti-corrosion protection and an aesthetic appearance. The coating thickness is at least 80 μm for GJL and 250 μm for GJS.
