Underground hydrant – a reliable water source in fire protection and water supply systems

This underground external hydrant HP6 DN80, made of durable spheroidal graphite cast iron (GJS), is a key element of water supply and fire protection infrastructure. Designed for underground installation, it provides a safe and easily accessible water intake point in emergency situations and during maintenance work. The design with a double ball valve guarantees tightness and minimizes the risk of leaks, and the stainless steel column ensures corrosion resistance and long-term operation.

Construction and materials – durability and corrosion resistance

The hydrant body is made of high-quality spheroidal graphite cast iron (EN-GJS 500-7), which ensures resistance to nominal pressure PN16. The use of stainless steel in the column further increases corrosion resistance, especially in an aggressive soil environment. The thickness of the anti-corrosion coating is 250 μm, which provides an additional protective barrier against the effects of atmospheric factors. Thanks to the use of O-ring seals on the spindle, the hydrant ensures tightness and smooth operation.

Functionality and safety of use

The HP6 hydrant is characterized by automatic drainage after closing, which prevents water from freezing inside the structure and potential damage. The ability to replace the seal without disassembling the hydrant facilitates maintenance and minimizes downtime. The hydrant operating key complies with PN-63/M-74085, ensuring compatibility with readily available tools. The hydrant's capacity is 10 dm³/s at a pressure of 0.2 MPa, guaranteeing a quick water intake when needed. Execution in accordance with PN-EN 14339 TYPE A confirms the high quality and safety of the product.
