Above-ground external hydrant HN3 DN80 H=2150mm, PN16, GJS ductile iron, breakable, double closure - hydrant head, steel column 15.080.250.1500.2
Reliable external hydrant for water supply and fire protection installations
The HN3 DN80 above-ground external hydrant is a high-end device designed to provide reliable access to the water supply network in municipal, industrial, and fire protection systems. Made of EN-GJS 500-7 ductile iron in accordance with the PN-EN 1563 standard, it guarantees exceptional resistance to corrosion and mechanical damage.
Construction and materials ensuring durability
The hydrant body is made of EN-GJS 500-7 ductile iron, which is characterized by significantly higher strength than traditional grey cast iron. The steel column (S235JRH/P235TR1) ensures structural stability while maintaining an optimal total mass of approximately 45.5 kg.
The device is equipped with a double mushroom-type closure with full EPDM rubber coverage, which eliminates the risk of leakage even during long-term operation. The break-away mechanism allows for the replacement of shut-off elements without the need to dismantle the entire hydrant from the water supply network.
Operating parameters and operational safety
The hydrant operates at a nominal pressure of PN16 (16 bar) and a maximum medium flow velocity of 4 m/s. The maximum driving torque is 105 Nm, ensuring smooth operation even after years of use.
An automatic drainage device, activated upon complete closure, protects against water freezing inside the column. The EN 12266-1 class A tightness class guarantees full system hermeticity.
Compliance and technical standards
The product meets the requirements of the PN-EN 14384 TYP A and PN-EN 1074-6 standards, confirming its suitability for fire protection installations. Connection flanges are manufactured in accordance with PN-EN 1092-2, and N75 nozzles according to DIN 14317.
All cast iron elements are double-coated with powder paint (epoxy + polyester) with a minimum thickness of 80 μm, ensuring many years of corrosion resistance. The paint has a hygienic certificate and is resistant to UV radiation.
Application and practical benefits
The hydrant is intended for the extraction of drinking water and for firefighting purposes from general-purpose pipelines. The design allows for installation on an N-type foot bend without exposure to bending or tensile stresses. The closing direction is standardly clockwise (reverse direction is optionally possible).
