The "Giraffe" type gypsum sander GTR 550 is a tool designed for professional interior finishing, where a uniform surface of walls and ceilings is crucial. The device features a patented, exceptionally flexible UltraFlexible Head, which allows the disc to move freely over uneven surfaces, as well as in hard-to-reach places such as corners or ceiling zones. Thanks to this design, the risk of accidental damage to the plaster or render is minimized, resulting in savings of time and material.

The vacuum generation function during operation makes the tool "suction" to the ceiling. This is not just a marketing effect – in practice, it means the operator feels less weight from the device, which significantly reduces hand and shoulder fatigue during long sanding sessions. The ergonomic L-shaped handle further facilitates control over the machine, allowing work with less extended arms and maintaining a stable position even when sanding large surfaces.

Efficiency and versatility of applications

The 550 W motor ensures a constant rotational speed in the range of 340 to 910 rpm, allowing the working parameters to be adjusted to the type of material and the thickness of the gypsum layer. The sanding disc with a diameter of 215 mm (with the possibility of mounting paper with a diameter up to 225 mm) covers a large area in one stroke, accelerating the process of preparing the substrate for painting. The soft backing pad hardness ensures an ideal fit to wall curves, eliminating the risk of scratches or indentations.

A key structural element is the segmented telescopic tube, which can be adjusted to three lengths: 1100 mm, 1700 mm, and 2300 mm. The quick lock allows for changing the setting without the use of additional tools, which is invaluable when working at varying room heights. The segmented brush on the circumference of the disc allows for sanding in the immediate vicinity of walls and ceilings without the need for manual corrections in these critical points.

Resistance to working conditions and complete set

The tool was built with tough construction conditions in mind – the metal gearbox housing and dust-tight ball bearings protect the mechanism from fine gypsum dust entering the motor interior. Optimized airflow supports the dust extraction system (requires connection to a class L vacuum cleaner), which maintains cleanliness on the construction site and improves the visibility of working lines. The antistatic design further limits dust accumulation on the device housing.
