Cross-line laser – irreplaceable equipment not only in the construction industry
Cross-line lasers are modern measuring tools used to determine vertical and horizontal lines and right angles. They definitely facilitate leveling during various types of construction, renovation and finishing works. They are used where efficiency, reliability and precision count. They are increasingly replacing traditional levels which are less accurate and convenient to use. Depending on the model/advancement level, the cross-line laser can emit 2, 3 or 4 laser beams (standard red and green or blue). It generally emits one horizontal beam and one vertical beam that clearly intersect at right angles. For comparison, a regular laser level emits only 1 beam of light. The most versatile are devices that emit a green or blue beam and are equipped with a laser receiver, which facilitates work in daylight when lines may be difficult to see. Both professionals and amateurs use the cross-line laser. It is an extremely useful equipment when laying tiles, sticking wallpapers, painting walls, assembling furniture and radiators, hanging pictures and many other tasks. You can, for example, stick painter's tape to the designated lines. An important parameter of cross-line lasers is the range, which can be up to 150 meters. A cross line laser usually has a three-legged tripod or pole.
Line laser – precise and clear lines on any surface
Line lasers provide the projection of floor lines. Two beams are sent in the form of intersecting lines at right angles, creating a cross. So it's actually a cross-line laser. The device is suitable for various finishing works, such as laying tiles, panels, carpets, laminates, etc. It significantly speeds up the work and increases its precision. Currently, linear lasers with the function of emitting a beam in the form of only a horizontal line are rare.
Laser level – a complete plumbing and leveling system
It is worth knowing that the term "laser level" often refers to a cross-line laser. These terms are sometimes used interchangeably by both suppliers of measuring devices and their customers. Laser levels understood in this way are advanced devices that enable the determination of levels, as well as verticals and slopes. However, if we want to be precise, the cross-line laser is a more universal, but also more expensive version of the laser level, because it is used to measure both vertically and horizontally. Are you considering purchasing an advanced cross line laser or a simpler laser level? You don't know which device to choose for a specific application? Contact us!
