Temperature and pressure relief valve for DHW 3/4" male thread x22mm 7 bar 309570
Temperature and pressure relief valve – protection for DHW systems.
The temperature and pressure relief valve is a key element protecting domestic hot water (DHW) systems. Its task is to control and limit the temperature and pressure in the tank, preventing exceeding permissible values. This protects both the tank itself and the remaining elements of the installation from damage caused by excessive pressure or temperature. The model with a 3/4” GZ x 22mm connection and a 7 bar setting ensures reliable operation and safety.
Construction and application
This valve, manufactured by Caleffi, meets the requirements of Directive 97/23/CE and has a certificate of conformity with EN 1490 standard (for settings 4-7-10 bar). It is made of high-quality materials – the body is made of dezincification-resistant brass alloy (EN 12165 CW602N), the stem is made of brass (EN 12164 CW614N), the closing element and membrane are made of EPDM, and the spring is made of steel (EN 10270-1 SH). The adjusting knob is made of glass fiber reinforced nylon (PA6GF).
The valve is used in domestic DHW installations, providing protection against increasing pressure and temperature, which can occur, for example, during water heating or thermostat failure. It is particularly important in systems with a closed expansion, where the lack of a safety valve can lead to serious damage to the installation.
Key features and benefits
- Safety: Provides effective protection of the DHW installation against excessive pressure and temperature, minimizing the risk of failure and damage.
- Durability: Made of high-quality materials resistant to corrosion and high temperatures, which guarantees a long service life.
- Compliance with standards: Has a certificate of conformity with EN 1490 standard, which confirms its safety and reliability.
- Wide range of settings: Available in various pressure settings (3, 4, 6, 7, 10 bar), allowing you to choose the appropriate model for specific installation needs. In this case, the setting is 7 bar.
- Versatility: Can be mounted both vertically and horizontally – however, it is important to maintain the correct flow direction indicated by the arrow on the valve body.
- Performance: Release capacity for 3/4” x Ø 22 mm diameter is 25 kW, which ensures effective removal of excess energy in the event of exceeding permissible parameters.
- Temperature range: Designed to operate with water at temperatures from 5°C to 110°C.
- Nominal pressure PN 10 - ensures stable operation in typical operating conditions of DHW installations.
Remember to install the valve correctly – it should be installed in the upper part of the DHW tank, and no shut-off valves should be installed between the valve and the tank!
