Temperature and pressure relief valve for DHW 1/2" male thread x15mm 7 bar 309470
Safety valve for DHW – protection and reliability of the installation
This temperature and pressure relief valve from Caleffi is a key element protecting the domestic hot water installation. Its task is to control and limit the temperature and pressure in the tank, preventing exceeding permissible values and potential damage. This ensures safe and comfortable operation of the system.
The valve is designed to work with DHW tanks, where it automatically reacts to a temperature increase above 90°C or pressure, releasing water until it returns to normal operating parameters. This simple but effective solution minimizes the risk of failure and extends the life of the entire installation.
Design and materials – durability for years
The valve is characterized by a solid construction using high-quality materials resistant to corrosion and external factors. The body is made of a special dezincification-resistant brass alloy (EN 12165 CW602N), which guarantees long-term reliability even in harsh conditions. The stem is made of brass (EN 12164 CW614N) and the sealing element and membrane are made of EPDM, ensuring tightness and proper valve operation for many years. The spring made of EN 10270-1 SH steel is responsible for the precise operation of the regulating mechanism, and the PA6GF adjustment knob allows easy adjustment of the valve operating parameters to individual installation needs.
The valve has a certificate of conformity with the European standard EN 1490 (for settings 4-7-10 bar), which confirms its high quality and safety of use. It is classified as category IV of Directive 97/23/CE, which means meeting the strict European requirements for the safety of pressure equipment.
Specifications and application – adaptation to needs
The safety valve with a diameter of 1/2” GZ with a Ø 15 mm connection is designed to operate at a nominal pressure of PN 10 and a discharge capacity of 10 kW. Available pressure settings are: 3, 4, 6, 7 and 10 bar (depending on the model). The setting temperature is standardly 90°C. The ability to choose the appropriate pressure setting allows precise adaptation of the valve to the specifics of a particular installation and ensures an optimal level of safety. The valve can be mounted both vertically and horizontally, which facilitates its installation in various installation configurations. Remember to observe the flow direction indicated by the arrow on the valve body during installation!
