Segment anchor BAZ 12x103 zinc‑plated – solution for difficult installation locations
The BAZ 12x103 zinc‑plated anchor is a structural element designed for fastening in concrete where low edge distances and precise depth adjustment are critical. The long M12 thread allows installation while maintaining a minimum target element thickness of only 5 mm, making it ideal for use in thin sheets, profiles, or constructions where space is limited.
High load capacity in both cracked and uncracked concrete guarantees stability even under dynamic loads. Load‑capacity values have been verified by the European ETA approval, meaning the anchor meets normative requirements for structural applications, including seismic loads (category C1).
The minimum edge distance is 55 mm, and the minimum spacing between anchors is 60 mm. This enables safe placement near slab edges or in confined areas where other anchors are not permitted. You do not have to forgo fastening simply because the location is “difficult” – BAZ handles such situations.
Installation is simple: a small force is required to expand the segments, facilitating manual insertion and positioning. No specialized equipment is needed – a standard 19 mm wrench and a 14 mm drill bit are sufficient. The high thread flexibility allows adaptation to varying thicknesses of the elements being fastened without the need to tighten to the very end.
The anchor is zinc‑plated – corrosion‑resistant in dry and moderately humid conditions. It is not suitable for direct contact with seawater or aggressive chemical environments, but in general construction, industry, or interior installations it operates safely for many years.
It is one of the few anchors that have ETA approval for the entire range of sizes and materials, meaning designers can rely on its parameters without additional testing. For installers this translates to less documentation, fewer questions, and faster installation.
