Threaded rod for VA chemical ampoules

The threaded rod 16 × 250 mm (916250AST) is designed for use with VA chemical ampoules – it works only in combination with them. It has a sharpened tip, which eases insertion into the drilled hole and ensures better filling of the chemical adhesive. It is finished with a nut and washer, allowing direct clamping of the mounted element without additional parts.

Each box contains an Allen key – a tool for setting the rod during installation. This solution eliminates the need for extra wrenches while providing precise depth and position adjustment.

Approved by the European Technical Assessment (ETA), the rod meets the requirements for intact concrete. Its design enables high load capacities, but only with proper hole preparation – cleaning before installation is mandatory and affects the joint’s strength.

The 16 mm dimension corresponds to an M16 diameter, and the 250 mm length is the total rod length – the embedment depth (hef) is 125 mm. The tightening torque must not exceed 98 Nm. The rod is made of galvanized steel grade 5.8, providing corrosion resistance in interior conditions and moderate humidity.

For the installer:

• No need to over‑tighten – just bring it into contact with the washer

• The nut and washer are integral to the system – no separate addition required
