Threaded rod for chemical anchors VA16

Threaded rod 16x190 mm (code 916190AST) is designed for use with VA series chemical ampoules – only in this combination does it provide approved load capacity and safety. It has a sharp tip, which facilitates initial insertion into the drilled hole, as well as a nut and washer that allow quick and precise clamping of the element after the resin has cured.

Each box includes a setting tool – a hex socket screw – enabling accurate adjustment of the installation height without the need for additional tools. This is a particular convenience for the installer working in hard‑to‑reach locations or with precise height requirements.

Compliant with the European Technical Assessment ETA (Option 7 for uncracked concrete), the rod meets the requirements for static loads in concrete structures. Its strength (class 5.8, galvanized) and effective embedment length (125 mm) are matched to a hole diameter of 18 mm – meaning you do not have to worry about mismatched parameters during installation.

It is important to note: this is not a standalone element. Its effectiveness depends on proper hole preparation (clean, dry surface) and the use of the appropriate VA chemical ampoule. Without this combination the joint will not function – neither technically nor in accordance with approval.

For the installer: the SW24 nut allows tightening with a standard wrench, and the rod length (190 mm) provides sufficient margin for installation depth and the thickness of the attached element.
