Construction and Protection

The key to the reliability of the ETZ50 transformer is its built-in protection. Short-circuit, overload, and thermal protection guarantee safe operation and minimize the risk of damage to both the transformer itself and the connected bulbs. Additionally, a novel method of controlling transistors in the output circuit and a special overload/short-circuit protection circuit – patented solutions by LEDIX – extend the lifespan of cooperating halogen bulbs.

Installation and Application

The ETZ50 transformer is designed for surface mounting, which simplifies its installation in lighting fixtures. Compact dimensions (95x42x28 mm) allow it to be adapted to most standard solutions. Screw terminals provide convenient and durable connection of wires. The device is compatible with dimmers, allowing you to adjust the brightness of the light and create the right atmosphere. It should be noted that this transformer does not work with LEDs – it is designed exclusively for powering traditional halogen bulbs.
