Simple crimp coupling for crimped systems

The coupling is made of electrolytically galvanized carbon steel, designed for crimped connections in gas and district heating installations. It has a fixed diameter of 22 mm – suitable for pipes with the same outer diameter, without the need for reduction. The one-piece construction with a stop flange ensures stability during crimping and maintains tightness even under cyclic thermal loads.

It does not contain seals – tightness is achieved solely through plastic deformation of the pipe wall during crimping. Both ends have identical surface treatment: raw state, meaning there is no additional coating beyond galvanization – no cleaning is required before installation, but it is not suitable for installation in aggressive environments without additional protection.

Operating pressure up to 16 bar at 20°C makes it safe for medium-pressure gas and district heating systems. The length of 56 mm allows easy access with crimping tools, even in confined spaces. A weight of 66 g and compact dimensions (30 x 30 x 55 mm) facilitate transport and storage.

It has no UL, FM, ULC, or LPCB certifications – it is not intended for installations in regions requiring these standards (e.g., USA or Canada). It is a component of the Conex B Press Gas 5000 system – compatible with other elements of this series. It has no drain valve or air vent – it is not intended for systems requiring venting or drainage.

Installation requires only the appropriate crimping tool and a pipe of the correct diameter. No glue, solder, or additional components are needed. The galvanized protection guards against corrosion in dry and moderately humid conditions – ideal for indoor installations.
