90° elbow 18 mm - thin-walled galvanized carbon steel, crimped PC5030 0180000

Application in Heating and Cooling Systems

The 90-degree elbow fitting with a diameter of 18 mm is an element designed to create durable connections in piping systems where resistance to pressure and environmental conditions is critical. Made of carbon steel, it has undergone an electro-galvanizing process, ensuring effective protection against corrosion both internally and externally. Thanks to this, the solution is suitable not only for dry rooms but also for closed-loop installations, such as heating or cooling circuits, where parameter stability is a priority. The maximum working pressure of 16 bar at a temperature of 20°C allows for safe operation under standard sanitary installation working conditions.

Installation and Construction Features

The specificity of this component lies in the use of a press-fit connection system, which eliminates the need for welding or screwing with gaskets. Both ends feature a profile prepared for pressing, requiring the use of an appropriate pressing head (3-point profile) to achieve a permanent connection with the pipe. This installation method significantly accelerates the installer's work – there is no need to wait for the weld to cool or to check tightness after screwing. The construction is one-piece, meaning there are no additional moving parts or gaskets (in this case, the EDPM gasket material is not used within the fitting itself; the system relies on metal-to-metal contact after pressing). The overall length of the fitting is 118 mm, which must be taken into account when planning pipe routes in confined spaces.

Operational Benefits

Choosing this fitting brings concrete benefits both during installation and in long-term operation. The alloy steel ensures high mechanical strength, while the zinc layer protects against rusting for years. The pressing system allows for a leak-tight connection to be made in a few seconds, without the need for thermal tools. The fitting connects pipes with an outer diameter of 18 mm on both sides (non-reducing model), perfectly matching standard pipe profiles. The fitting has no flanged stops or drain valves – it is a pure flow-direction change element with a 90° angle.

Please note that this product does not carry UL, FM, or LPCB certifications, which may be important when designing installations requiring specific fire safety approvals or for insurance purposes. However, in standard heating and cooling installations, its parameters are fully sufficient. Installation requires a 3-point profile pressing head dedicated to carbon steel with a diameter of 18 mm.
