54 CU B Press end cap P5301 05400000
Protection of Copper Installation Ends
The 54 mm Blind Cap from the B Press series is an essential component for the permanent and leak-tight sealing of pipe ends in sanitary, heating, and industrial installations. The product is made of low-lead brass (CuSn5Zn5Pb2-C), ensuring compliance with strict hygienic requirements for potable water. Thanks to the use of 99.99% pure material (Cu-DHP) and bronze meeting the PN-EN 1982 standard, this fitting exhibits high corrosion resistance and long-term stability under various operating conditions.
Pressing and Sealing System
The key structural element is the V-Kontur profile, which ensures consistent joint quality when used with dedicated pressing tools. The sealing relies on black EPDM elastomer, which not only meets the PN-EN 549 standard but also incorporates a Press Indicator (PI) system. This means that if the joint is not properly pressed, it will remain leak-tight – providing a crucial safeguard against installation errors.
For a 54 mm diameter, installation requires jaws with profile B (often referred to as profile V in Rems systems), enabling fast and precise joint assembly without the need for additional gaskets or assembly pastes.
Application and Compatibility
This component is designed for use with copper pipes compliant with PN-EN 1057 and stainless steel pipes (PN-EN 10312). Thanks to the versatility of the B Press system, the blind cap can be used in a wide range of installations:
- Water systems: cold and hot domestic water (including potable water).
- Heating: low-temperature heating circuits.
- Industry: technological installations requiring leak-tight closures.
The product holds the PZH hygienic certificate and the ITB technical approval (AT-15-8600/2016), confirming its safety for contact with water intended for human consumption. The manufacturer's warranty is 25 years, solidly confirming the durability of the materials and joining technology used. Please note that during installation, care must be taken during mechanical pipe preparation – edges must be smooth and free of burrs to avoid damaging the EPDM seal during pressing. After proper pressing, the joint becomes permanent and ready for immediate system pressurization.
