Reducing Coupling 22x15 – Galvanized Steel, Press-Fitted
Single-piece reducing coupling made of carbon steel, electrolytically galvanized on both sides. Designed for press-fitted connections in water supply and heating installations where a pipe diameter change from 22 mm to 15 mm is required.
Features a press-fitting socket end on the 22 mm side and a push-in end on the 15 mm side – both with a locating collar, ensuring a stable and leak-tight connection during pressing. Does not include seals; leak-tightness is achieved through deformation of the pipe wall during pressing. Connection material: alloy steel, protected by electrolytic galvanization – corrosion-resistant, but not intended for contact with potable water without additional protection.
Maximum working pressure: 16 bar at 20°C – sufficient for most central heating and domestic hot water systems. Length: 60 mm, facilitating installation even in confined spaces. Weight: 0.04 kg, compact design – does not burden the installation.
No UL, FM, ULC, or LPCB certifications – not intended for systems requiring these standards (e.g., American or Canadian). Does not include an air vent or drain valve – purely a mechanical component with no additional functions.
Installation uses Type B Press pressing technology. Requires appropriate pressing tools and pipes with the correct outer diameters (22 mm and 15 mm). Not suitable for installation on copper pipes – only for galvanized steel pipes.
Important note: although the surface is galvanized, this product is not intended for potable water installations without additional insulation or protective coating – its primary application is in heating and process circuits.
