Reducing connector 35x28 - thin-walled crimped galvanized carbon steel PC5243 0352800
Application and Construction Characteristics
The 35x28 mm reducing coupling is an element designed for joining steel pipes in press-fit systems, where a smooth transition between two different diameters is required. Thanks to the use of carbon steel with galvanic zinc coating, the fitting ensures corrosion resistance in typical water and gas installations. The one-piece construction of the model eliminates the risk of leaks resulting from multi-part connections, which is crucial when installing in hard-to-reach locations. The integral stop flange facilitates precise pipe centering during pressing, reducing the installer's working time and minimizing the risk of assembly errors.
Technical Parameters and Operating Conditions
This element is designed for operation in pressurized systems, withstanding a maximum working pressure of up to 16 bar at 20°C. This parameter allows for safe use of the coupling in installations drawing cold and hot water (within limits permissible for steel) or in low-pressure gas networks. The pipe contact surface is protected by a zinc layer, preventing oxidation at the connection point. It is worth noting that the connection material is alloy steel, which guarantees appropriate mechanical strength while maintaining the flexibility necessary for the pressing process.
The total length of the coupling is 67 mm, allowing for compact placement of components in distribution cabinets or technical ducts. The transition from an outer diameter of 35 mm to 28 mm is implemented gradually, ensuring optimal medium flow without unnecessary pressure losses. Both connection sides – both the crimping sleeve and the push-in end – are made of the same grade of alloy steel and undergo the same surface treatment (galvanic zinc coating), eliminating the risk of galvanic corrosion between different metals within a single element.
Installation and Practical Benefits
The installation process is based on the B-Press method (or similar press-fit systems), meaning there is no need to use fire or welding on-site. This makes the work cleaner, faster, and safer for the surroundings. The coupling has no gaskets or additional consumable parts – tightness is achieved through the permanently deformed metal structure after pressing. The lack of UL or FM certifications does not limit its use in standard building installations in Poland, where national and European standards for galvanized steel are key. For the installer, this means simplicity: simply measure the pipe, cut it at a right angle, and use the appropriate pressing head to achieve a permanent connection.
