Reducing Coupling 54x22 – Galvanized Carbon Steel, Press-Fit

This press-fit reducing coupling features a crimping sleeve on one side for a 54 mm diameter pipe and a push-in end on the other for a 42 mm pipe. The one-piece construction with a stop flange ensures stability during installation and prevents pipe slippage within the joint. It contains no gaskets; the connection is achieved exclusively through press-fitting.

The material is alloy carbon steel, electrolytically galvanized on both sides. Connection surface 1 (sleeve) is in a raw state—unpolished—to enhance adhesion during press-fitting. Connection 2 (end) is also galvanized but undergoes no additional surface treatment. Both ends are corrosion-protected, which is critical for installations in high-humidity areas or where condensation may occur.

A working pressure of up to 16 bar at 20°C makes it suitable for district heating, water supply, and heating systems requiring higher pressures than standard domestic installations. It does not carry UL, FM, ULC, or LPCB certifications and is not intended for systems requiring these specifications (e.g., US or Canadian systems).

It does not include an air vent or drain valve and is not designed for systems requiring air release or draining. The pipe must be properly prepared before press-fitting: clean, undamaged, and with appropriately rounded edges.

Installation requires a specialized press-fitting tool; it cannot be installed via threading or welding. As a component of a press-fit system, it must be used in accordance with the tool and pipe manufacturer's instructions.

Dimensions: length 99 mm. Unit weight: approx. 0.211 kg. Intended for pipes with outer diameters of 54 mm and 42 mm—it is not compatible with pipes of other diameters, even if close (e.g., 50 mm or 45 mm). No eccentric model is available; it functions solely as a straight reducer.
