Reducing tee 18x15x18 mm - thin-walled galvanised carbon steel, swaged PC5130 0181518
Galvanized Steel Reducing Tee for Press-Fitting
This press-fit connection is made of alloy carbon steel with a galvanized surface protection. It features three clamping sleeves—two with a diameter of 18 mm and one reducing sleeve of 15 mm—enabling the connection of pipes with different diameters at a single point without the need for additional adapters. The stop flange on each sleeve ensures stability during installation and increases resistance to displacement under pressure.
All connections are designed for use with copper or steel pipes of the appropriate outer diameter. The use of an EPDM (ethylene-propylene-diene) gasket guarantees leak-tightness even under cyclic temperature and pressure changes—without the need for additional sealing or adhesive.
The maximum working pressure is 16 bar at 20°C, meeting the requirements of typical heating, water supply, and heating systems in residential and commercial buildings. The absence of UL, FM, or LPCB certifications does not indicate lower quality; the product complies with standards applied in Central Europe for press-fit components, and its design is tested by the manufacturer under real-world conditions.
Installation is simple: all that is required is the appropriate press tool and a pipe of the correct diameter. No threading, soldering, or special tools beyond the press are needed. This saves the installer time and eliminates the risk of errors associated with melting or improper tightening.
Please note: although the material is galvanized steel, this component is not intended for systems containing acids, salts, or aggressive fluids. Its application is limited to clean water, steam, or neutral gases—as is the case with most components of this type.
Why does this solution work?
- Diameter reduction in a single component — no need to install two tees or use transition fittings.
- Galvanic galvanization — protects against corrosion in humid environments, but does not offer corrosion resistance equivalent to stainless steel.
- Stop flange — maintains pipe position during pressing and prevents displacement under pressure.
- EPDM as gasket material — resistant to temperatures from -40°C to +120°C, non-reactive with potable water or heating fluid.
- No threads — eliminates the risk of thread damage during installation or removal.
- Alloy steel — higher mechanical strength than plain carbon steel, better resistance to deformation during pressing.
There are no openings, valves, or air vents here. This is a clean, functional connection—for those who want to quickly, safely, and without unnecessary complications change the pipe diameter in a system.
