Reducing tee 28x15x28 mm - thin-walled galvanized carbon steel press-fit PC5130 0281528
Solution for connecting steel pipes of different diameters
This fitting enables the effective connection of three steel pipe sections, where two main branches have a diameter of 28 mm, and the side branch reduces to 15 mm. Thanks to the use of pressing technology, installation is carried out without the use of fire or a soldering iron, significantly accelerating on-site work and eliminating the risk of installation damage due to high temperatures. Carbon steel with galvanic zinc coating ensures corrosion resistance under standard conditions for water and heating installations, while maintaining a low structural weight, facilitating handling in hard-to-reach locations.
Application and operating conditions
The fitting is dedicated to installation systems requiring reliable pipe connections in cold water, hot water, and central heating supply circuits. The maximum working pressure is 16 bar at 20°C, meeting the needs of most domestic and industrial distribution networks. The operating temperature range depends on the sealing material used – with a standard EPDM (ethylene-propylene-diene) seal, safe operation is possible within the range of -20°C to +120°C.
It is worth noting the specifics of the connections: all three openings (two main and one side) are equipped with press-fit sleeves, requiring the use of dedicated pressing heads compatible with the system. The lack of need for additional external seals or stop flanges simplifies the installation process – it is sufficient to properly press the fitting onto the pipe.
Key construction features and benefits
- Material and coating: Made of alloy (carbon) steel with full galvanic/electrolytic zinc coating on all connection surfaces, protecting against rusting both inside and outside the pipe.
- Dimensional precision: The 28x15x28 mm reduction allows for a smooth transition between pipes of different diameters without the need for additional reducing adapters.
- Fast installation: The pressing system eliminates time-consuming tasks such as pipe cleaning for soldering or quality control of thermal joints.
- Leak-tightness: The EPDM seal ensures a hermetic connection after the first pressing cycle, minimizing the risk of future leaks.
- Versatility: The element has no external seals or drain valves, making it ideal for simple branch-offs in static installations.
For installers, this means reduced consumption of tools and auxiliary materials – there is no need to purchase gas soldering irons or soldering pastes. For the end investor, it guarantees the durability of connections within walls and under floors, where access for potential repairs would be difficult or impossible without damaging the finish. This element is particularly suitable where maintaining flow continuity is required while changing the pipe diameter at a single point in the network.
