90° Single-Socket Elbow with Stop Flange – Press-Fit Connection
This elbow is made of carbon steel and electrolytically galvanized, designed for press-fit systems. It features a uniform, one-piece construction: one side is a compression socket, the other a push-in end. Both are matched to pipes with an outer diameter of 54 mm. The stop flange ensures repeatable pipe insertion depth, reducing the risk of installation errors.
Surface protection — galvanic zinc coating — applies only to the external surfaces of the fitting. The internal surface (flow channel) is in a raw state with no additional coating. The same applies to both ends: external surfaces are galvanized, while the internal surfaces are neither painted, lacquered, nor otherwise treated.
The seal is made of EPDM rubber (ethylene-propylene-diene) and is located in the socket groove. There are no additional components: no air vents, drain valves, or other seals. The connection is irreversible — after pressing, the pipe and fitting form a mechanical joint resistant to pull-out and torsion.
Working pressure up to 16 bar at 20°C allows use in domestic hot water systems, central heating, and similar installations. Elbow length: 105 mm.
Installation requires a pressing tool with dies matched to 54 mm diameter and "M" profiles — as described in online sources. In systems with diameters up to 54 mm, a foil rupture indicator (press-check sleeve) is often used. A colored foil (typically red for carbon steel) placed on the external groove ruptures during proper pressing, providing visual and tactile confirmation of a completed joint. Lack of rupture indicates improper pressing.
