### Transition fitting for air conditioning and refrigeration installations
This transition fitting, made of phosphorus-deoxidized copper (Cu-DHP, CW024A according to PN-EN 2165), is a key element in air conditioning and refrigeration systems. It is used to connect pipes of different diameters – 1 5/8 inch (thread) to 1 1/6 inch (ACR). Its construction ensures a reliable and tight connection, which is extremely important in refrigerant circuits.
Solid construction and compliance with standards
The fitting is characterized by a thicker pipe wall, which increases its resistance to high pressures. It meets the requirements of the American ASME / ANSI B16.22 standard, and the pipe threads are made in accordance with ASME B 1.20.1 (NPT). It is worth remembering that NPT threads are not compatible with metric threads. The product complies with the European Pressure Equipment Directive PED 97/23/EC.
Versatility and safety
ACR fittings of this type can be used with various refrigerants: HCFC, HFC, HFO and HC. However, their use should be avoided in installations containing ammonia R717. The operating temperature range of the fitting is from -196°C to 150°C, which ensures its functionality in a wide range of conditions. Connection to pipes is achieved by capillary hard soldering using solders containing at least 2% silver – this guarantees the durability and tightness of the connection. The fittings are intended for use with copper pipes compliant with PN-EN 12735 and PN-EN 1057 standards.
Additionally, Conex Banninger offers a 25-year warranty on the connection tightness, provided that the installation is carried out correctly. This confirms the high quality of the product and the certainty of its operation for a long time.
