Galvanized steel adapter – crimped for 42 mm, gas thread 1½ inch

One-piece fitting made of carbon steel, electrolytically galvanized on the inside and on the outer surface. The compression sleeve is used to connect to a pipe with an outer diameter of 42 mm – installation is performed using a crimping tool, without welding or threading. On the other side, there is a tapered external gas thread BSPT-R (ISO 7-1 / EN 10226-1), corresponding to 1½ inch (DN40), standardly used in gas installations.

The element features a stop flange – it ensures stability during crimping and facilitates tool positioning. There is no built-in seal in the sleeve – the tightness of the crimped connection does not depend on additional rubber elements. The EPDM seal is listed as a material but is not part of this fitting – the parameter "With seals": "no" confirms its absence. This means that the connection is sealed solely due to metal deformation during crimping.

The length is 80 mm – sufficient for comfortable tool installation while maintaining the compactness of the system. Maximum working pressure: 16 bar at 20°C – allowing use in low and medium pressure systems, both water and gas, provided temperature limitations are observed.

In Pressfitting systems for diameters from 12 to 54 mm, a visual crimp indicator is often used – a thin foil ring that breaks after proper crimping. The diameter of this fitting (42 mm) falls within this range, and the manufacturer does not exclude its use – so it may be present as part of the installation system. This is not a technical parameter of the fitting but a feature of the installation process – and may be important for the installer during quality control.

There is no drain valve, air vent, or blind cap. The construction is simple: steel pipe + thread + stop flange. No additional tools are required other than the crimping kit.
