Weather-resistant enclosure

A construction distribution board in a technopolymer enclosure with dimensions 360 × 250 × 185 mm is ideal for applications where mobility and durability are key. The front plate is finished in grey RAL 7035, while the rear plate is black. The polycarbonate door ensures impact resistance, and the EPDM rubber seal protects the interior from moisture and dust. The enclosure's IP44 protection rating is complemented by Mennekes power sockets with an IP67 rating - the latter can be safely operated even during rain.

Surface mounting allows for quick hanging on a wall or pole without additional adapters. The set includes a PG-16 cable gland and mounting screws with caps - everything is ready for installation.

Socket set and protective apparatus

The distribution board is equipped with two Mennekes power sockets (red) for powering three-phase devices:

• 400 V / 32 A (type 240A) - sufficient for welders, concrete mixers, or power generators,
• 400 V / 16 A (type 228A) - for smaller construction machines and power tools.

Both power sockets have an IP67 protection rating, meaning full sealing against short-term immersion - useful on muddy construction sites.

Additionally, four single-phase 230 V / 16 A sockets in the Type E system (with grounding pin) are installed, intended for powering power tools, work lighting, or chargers. Their sealing class is IP44, so they are suitable for outdoor use when used with caution.

Safety is ensured by a complete set of apparatus: a 40 A / 30 mA residual current device (RCD), 4-pole, type A (SEZ), two miniature circuit breakers (MCB) for the power sockets C16 and C32 (3-pole) with a breaking capacity of 10 kA each, and two miniature circuit breakers for the single-phase sockets - 2 × C16 (1-pole), each also 10 kA.

The type A RCD protects against indirect contact - this is the foundation of safety at every workstation.

Wiring and operating parameters

The wiring is made of H07V-K flexible cables with cross-sections of 2.5-6 mm² in colors compliant with the standard: yellow-green protective conductor, blue neutral, black phase.

The rated current of the distribution board is 40 A, the rated voltage is 230/400 V, and the breaking capacity is ≤10 kA. An RDF coefficient of 0.7 allows for realistic load planning of the construction installation. The enclosure operates at a rated voltage of up to 1000 V, and the busbar ensures a solid connection of all modular elements.
