This three-pole motor starter switch with push-button operation, model PKZM01-12, is a key element in protecting motors and electrical circuits. It provides effective protection against overload and short circuit, guaranteeing safe and reliable operation of devices. Its compact dimensions (45 mm wide, 90 mm high and 93 mm deep) allow for easy installation even in limited spaces.

Functionality and application

The PKZM01-12 switch is designed to operate in circuits with a rated voltage of 440 V and a continuous current of up to 12 A. Its overload release setting range is from 8 to 12 A, allowing for precise adjustment to the load characteristics. The rated operating power for AC-3 at 400 V is 5.5 kW, and at 230 V – 3 kW. Thanks to its high short-circuit breaking capacity (50 kA at 400 V AC), the switch effectively protects the installation from the effects of sudden overvoltages.

Construction and characteristic features

The PKZM01-12 switch is characterized by a solid construction and high quality workmanship. It has screw connections for the main contacts, ensuring a secure and durable connection of the wires. The push-button used as an actuator enables easy operation of the device. Power losses are 6.64 W at a rated voltage of 440 V. The degree of protection IP20 provides protection against accidental contact and against the ingress of solid objects larger than 12.5 mm. It is worth noting the possibility of using IP65 enclosures with emergency mushroom head CI-PKZ01-PVT or with membrane CI-PKZ01-G – this is additional protection in difficult environmental conditions.
