Auxiliary contacts for NZM circuit breakers – reliable signaling and control
Auxiliary connecting contacts with lead-off 2PZ d NZM2/3-XHIV are a key element extending the functionality of the NZM series circuit breakers, providing additional possibilities for signaling status and controlling auxiliary circuits. They are designed for mounting in NZM2, NZM3, PN2, PN3, N(S)2 and N(S)3 circuit breakers, offering flexibility and ease of integration with existing installations. Thanks to them, advanced functions such as remote control or alarm signaling can be implemented.
Construction and application – for installers and users
These auxiliary contacts are characterized by a screw connection, which ensures a secure and durable connection of the wires. They are designed for mounting inside the circuit breaker housing, forming an integral part of the protection system. Their main task is to provide additional normally closed contacts (2 pcs), which can be used for various purposes – from signaling the status of the circuit breaker to controlling other devices in the circuit. Using lead-off contacts allows you to implement functions such as starting other devices before the full activation of the main circuit, which is particularly useful in applications requiring sequential start-up of machines or devices.
It is worth remembering the compatibility limitations – they cannot be combined with undervoltage release triggers NZM..-XU.., current-limiting release triggers NZM..-XA.. or remote control drives NZM..-XR.. . The lead-off time when switching on is approx. 20-90ms. The rated operating current for AC-15 at 230V is 4A.
