Main isolating switch for demanding applications

The IS-125/1 main isolating switch is a professional device designed for the safe disconnection of electrical circuits with full isolation functionality. Designed in accordance with the IEC/EN 60947-3 standard, it performs well in both industrial applications and advanced commercial installations.

Construction and electrical parameters

The device operates at a rated voltage of 240V AC and a current of 125A, offering a high switching capacity of 10kA. The single-pole design occupies only one module on a DIN rail (width 17.7mm, mounting depth 69.5mm), allowing for efficient space management in distribution boards.

A short-circuit strength of 2kA and a short-time withstand current of 2kA guarantee safe operation even in emergency conditions. Contacts made of highly abrasion-resistant materials ensure long device life - a minimum of 2000 electrical cycles and 14000 mechanical cycles.

Safety and functionality

The IP40 protection rating protects against finger contact and access to hazardous parts. The device is equipped with a contact position indicator and the possibility of padlock lockout in the "0" position, which further increases the level of operational safety.

Stepwise switching eliminates the risk of electric arc formation during switching operations. "Lift terminal" type terminals allow for the connection of conductors with cross-sections from 2.5mm² to 50mm², ensuring connection versatility for various types of installations.

Application and compatibility

The switch is classified for use in railway rolling stock (IEC 61373, EN45545-2), confirming its high reliability in harsh environmental conditions. An operating temperature from -5°C to +40°C and pollution degree 3 allow for operation in most industrial conditions.

The device is compatible with CLS6 and CFI6 modular rail mounting and other Eaton Moeller series IS modular apparatus. The arrow symbol placed on the device provides a clear indication of the switching direction for service personnel.

Mounting is performed on a standard TS35 IEC/EN60715 rail, and the maximum overcurrent protection is 125A gG.
