Mechanical lock NZM3 for door handles NZM3-XMV 281583
Mechanical lock for NZM3 switchgear handles
The NZM3-XMV mechanical lock is an accessory dedicated to the NZM series circuit breakers, providing additional protection against unintentional switching on or off. Designed for mounting on the door handle knobs of circuit breakers, the lock increases work safety and minimizes the risk of accidental changes to the circuit state. This is particularly important in industrial applications where stability and reliability are crucial.
Application and compatibility
This lock is an integral part of the safety system for EATON NZM3(-4), PN3(-4) and N(S)3(-4) circuit breakers. It allows switches to be locked with a drawbar, enabling multiple devices to be locked simultaneously. Correct operation requires the NZM..-XMV locking module and a suitable handle – NZM..-XDV or connecting NZM..-XTVD. Please note that the lock is not compatible with UL/CSA NZM..-XTV..-NA connecting handles or parallel, side and remote drives, or a blanking frame.
Construction and installation
The lock is designed for easy installation and integration with existing installations. The modular design of the NZM series allows for flexible adaptation to individual needs. The lock enables the simultaneous locking of up to four switches, increasing efficiency and work safety. Installation is simple and intuitive, resulting in time and installation cost savings.
Safety and reliability
Using a mechanical lock is a simple but effective solution to increase safety in electrical installations. It prevents accidental starting or stopping of equipment during maintenance or service work, minimizing the risk of electric shock or equipment damage. In addition, the lock is a visual element identifying the status of the device – a locked switch indicates ongoing work or the need for extra caution.
