Features and application

This two-pole (2P) switch is designed to operate in circuits with a rated voltage of 230V and a frequency of 50Hz. Its sensitivity to differential current is 0.03A (type A), which means it reacts to sinusoidal currents typical of overloads and short circuits. This switch effectively protects against electric shock in the event of insulation failure or direct contact with live conductors. The short-circuit breaking capacity at 6kA guarantees its proper operation even in the event of high voltage surges. Thanks to this, both installers and end-users can rely on solid protection of the electrical installation.

Residual current circuit breakers of type HNC, to which this model belongs, are widely used in homes, workshops, workplaces and public places. The test button on the housing allows for regular checking of the switch's functionality, which is recommended by the manufacturer – testing should be carried out every 6 months. In addition, the neutral conductor (N) can be connected on both sides of the switch, which increases the flexibility of the installation.

Construction and parameters

The switch is characterized by a compact design – it occupies only 2 modules in width (36mm). Its installation depth is 69.5 mm. The housing is made of plastic in RAL 7035 color, which provides an aesthetic appearance and resistance to mechanical damage. The rated impulse withstand voltage is 4kV, and the impulse withstand current is 0.25kA. The switch has a mechanical lock preventing accidental opening of the circuit during operation. The cross-section of the connected solid conductor can range from 1.5 to 35 mm², and the stranded conductor from 1.5 to 16 mm². The degree of protection IP20 provides protection against finger contact and against the ingress of solid objects larger than 12.5 mm – but remember to install it in a dry and well-ventilated place! The ambient temperature during operation should be in the range of -25°C to +55°C. The possibility of equipping the switch with additional auxiliary contacts expands its functionality with signaling of operation or remote control of the circuit.
