Residual current circuit breaker 6kA PF6-40/2/03-A 112926

Residual Current Device – Protection and Safety for Electrical Installations

This two-pole residual current device from Eaton's PF6 series, with a rated current of 40A and a tripping current of 0.3A (Type A), is a key element ensuring safety in every electrical installation. Using this device minimizes the risk of electric shock and prevents fires caused by short circuits or leakage currents to earth. It is a reliable solution for both installers and end-users, guaranteeing the protection of people and property.

Construction features and application

The PF6-40/2/03-A circuit breaker is designed for mounting on a DIN rail, making it easy to install and integrate with existing distribution boards. Its compact width of 2 modules allows for optimal use of space in switchgear cabinets. The device is characterized by high surge current resistance (0.25 kA) and a rated impulse withstand voltage of 4 kV, ensuring its reliability in harsh working conditions. Suitable for operation in temperatures from -25°C to 60°C and with an IP20 degree of protection, it will perform well in a wide range of applications – from home installations, through commercial facilities, to industrial plants.

This circuit breaker is particularly recommended for protecting circuits powering electrical devices that are highly sensitive to interference, such as power tools or audio-video equipment. Type A sensitivity ensures effective detection of sinusoidal leakage currents, typical of most household appliances. Additionally, the ability to connect multi-wire conductors with a cross-section of up to 16 mm² and solid-core conductors up to 35 mm² provides great flexibility during installation. Remember to test the circuit breaker regularly (recommended every 6 months) to ensure its proper operation. The locking mechanism of the circuit breaker increases safety, preventing accidental switching on of a damaged device. The possibility of routing the N conductor on both sides facilitates installation and reduces installation time.

Testing required every 6 months, N conductor can be routed from both sides, terminal cross section up to 35mm2
