Residual Current Device – Safety and Reliability in Your Installation
This four-pole residual current device from Eaton's PF6 series is a key element ensuring the protection of people and equipment against electric shock and the effects of short circuits. Designed for mounting on a DIN rail, it is perfect for use in residential, commercial and industrial buildings. A rated residual current of 0.1A (Type A) guarantees effective detection of leakage currents, minimizing the risk of dangerous situations.
Design and technical parameters
The device is characterized by a solid construction and high quality workmanship, which translates into its reliability and long life. A rated current of 63A allows for protection of circuits with a higher load. The short-circuit strength at 6kA provides resistance to sudden current surges, and the rated voltage of 400V is standard for most electrical installations in Poland. The width of the device, 4 modules, makes it easy to install in switchboards with limited space.
- DIN rail mounting ensures simple and fast installation.
- Thanks to the rated voltage of 400V, the device is compatible with most electrical installations.
- Rated current of 63A allows for protection of circuits with high power consumption.
- High resistance to short circuits thanks to the breaking capacity of up to 6kA.
- Effective protection against leakage and earth fault currents thanks to Type A sensitivity.
- Four-pole design allows use in three-phase circuits.
- Flexibility in wire selection – the device accepts solid wires from 1.5 mm² to 35 mm² and stranded wires from 1.5 mm² to 16 mm².
- Lock prevents accidental switching off or on of the device during maintenance work.
Benefits of use and additional information
Eaton xPole Home series residual current devices are products designed with safety and ease of use in mind. Double connection terminals (lift and rail) facilitate installation, and the possibility of supplying power from above or below increases installation flexibility. Regular testing (recommended every 6 months) ensures the proper functioning of the device, and the possibility of routing the N conductor on both sides simplifies wiring. The device has a protection class of IP20, which means protection against touching with a finger and solid objects larger than 12.5 mm.
