Plug GN 749-G1/4-B Z027223
Threaded plug for hydraulic and pneumatic applications
The GN 749-G1/4-B plug is a closing element made of blue-zinc plated steel, providing high corrosion resistance. It is a component designed for hydraulic and pneumatic systems where effective sealing of threaded connections is required. The steel's tensile strength is 500 N/mm², guaranteeing reliability even under high loads. Each plug undergoes ultrasonic testing, confirming the absence of internal defects.
Materials and temperature resistance
Two gasket versions are available: version A made of synthetic rubber NBR and version B made of synthetic rubber FPM (Viton®). The choice of the appropriate gasket depends on the medium and operating temperature. NBR provides a seal at temperatures up to 100°C, while Viton® is resistant to higher temperatures – up to 180°C. This allows the plug to be used in a wide range of industrial applications.
Parameters and application
The plug has a G 1/4 inch thread and is designed to operate at a maximum working pressure of 400 bar (250 bar for G1). Its design allows for easy assembly and disassembly with a hex key. The recommended tightening torque is 30 Nm. This allows installers to quickly and precisely install the plug, minimizing the risk of damage to the thread or gasket. The plug is used in:
- Closing threaded holes in hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders
- Sealing ports in valves and manifolds
- Industrial tooling
- Testing and diagnostic systems
- Where temporary or permanent closure of medium flow is required.
