This aluminum lightning rod mast on a tripod is a reliable solution to protect metal roof elements such as skylights, air conditioners, ventilation units, or ventilation ducts from the effects of direct lightning strikes. Thanks to the possibility of connecting round wires, it can be easily integrated with an existing lightning protection system. A lightning arrester connector for wire is included in the set, simplifying installation. Please note that the concrete base pad and an additional layer of roofing felt or membrane (94308222, 94308221) are sold separately and recommended for full protection.

Construction and installation

The complete set includes a mast spike, a tripod with six concrete bases, and a mounting kit. The mast, when unfolded, measures 1187 x 1187 x 3670 mm. A length of 3500 mm provides sufficient height for effective protection. The mast diameter ranges from 16-40 mm, allowing it to be adapted to different types of installations. The raw surface finish allows for painting or coating to match the building's aesthetics.

The use of this mast is particularly beneficial in situations where a direct connection of roof elements or equipment to the lightning protection down conductor system is impossible for safety or technical reasons. The mast creates an independent path for the lightning current, safely discharging it to the ground.
