Lightning Protection – Insulated Mast for Horizontal Down Conductors

This insulated mast, designed for high-level horizontal down conductor systems, is a key element in protecting against the effects of lightning strikes. It is indispensable in protecting buildings and structures such as skylights, air conditioners, ventilation units, and ventilation ducts. It serves as a solid support for the Aldrey wire, enabling effective discharge of lightning currents to the ground.

Design and Application

The mast is made of durable aluminum, ensuring lightness and corrosion resistance. The base four-leg stand, made of stainless steel (V2A), guarantees stability and durability of the structure. An insulating rod 1 meter long at the top of the mast allows for safe placement near devices, maintaining the required isolation distances. A grounding conductor connector is included in the set. Please note that a concrete base requires an additional pad (ordered separately – cat. no. 44408208), and for roofs covered with roofing felt or membranes, pads 94308222 and 94308221 are recommended.

The mast is characterized by a diameter allowing connection with conductors with a diameter from 16 to 3320 mm. The raw surface condition allows for possible additional anti-corrosion protection or painting to match the building's aesthetics. The distance between individual masts connected with the Aldrey wire should not exceed 10 meters to ensure optimal protection.
