Lightning protection mast on a four-legged base – protection and stability

This lightning protection mast, designed for horizontal down conductors, is a key element of the surge protection system. It is used to protect metal roof elements and external equipment – skylights, air conditioners, ventilation units and ventilation ducts – from the effects of atmospheric discharges. The construction allows for the installation of two Aldrey wires, creating a coherent protection system. Remember that the distance between masts connected by an Aldrey wire should not exceed 8 meters to maintain adequate insulation distance.

Construction and application

The mast is made of a combination of aluminum and stainless steel (V2A), which guarantees strength and corrosion resistance. Its height of 4 meters provides effective protection, and the four-legged structure with 12 concrete bases ensures stability even in difficult weather conditions. The mast is supplied complete with a mast tip, a four-legged base and a mounting kit. Designed for use with appropriate mounting brackets (e.g. 66000105), which should be selected depending on the specifics of the installation. The raw surface finish allows for matching the finish to the surroundings.
