Lightning protection masts and surge protection

This four-legged mast, designed for horizontal downspouts, is a key element of a system protecting against the effects of atmospheric discharges. It serves to protect building structures such as metal roofs, skylights, air conditioners or ventilation ducts. Its main function is to support the Aldrey rope, which creates a protective zone above the protected devices. Properly spaced masts with the Aldrey rope stretched between them provide effective protection against direct lightning strikes and induced overvoltages.

The mast design allows for the through-mounting of two Aldrey ropes, and the recommended maximum distance between masts is 8 meters – maintaining this parameter is crucial for the proper functioning of the entire system. The mast is mounted to the ground using a four-legged base with 12 concrete foundations (included), ensuring the stability and durability of the structure. Made of durable aluminum, the mast is lightweight and corrosion resistant.

Construction and application

The 6-meter high mast is made of aluminum and stainless steel (V2A), guaranteeing its durability and resistance to weather conditions. The connector is designed for connecting a round conductor. The construction allows for mounting in places requiring protection against atmospheric discharges, both in industrial, commercial and residential buildings. The reinforced construction provides resistance to strong winds – up to 125 km/h (for model 65136092).

It is important to choose appropriate mounting brackets, adapted to the specifics of the installation location (e.g. 66000105). Additionally, in the case of roofs covered with roofing felt or membranes, it is recommended to use special washers (94308222 and 94308221) to ensure tightness and optimal protection. The set includes the mast shaft, four-legged base and mounting kit – ready for installation after proper foundation preparation.
