Lightning protection mast on a four-legged base – protection against atmospheric discharges

This lightning protection mast, designed for high-level horizontal down conductors, is a key element of a system protecting against the effects of atmospheric discharges. It is used to protect metal roof elements and external equipment – skylights, air conditioners, central ventilation units and ventilation ducts. Its construction allows for effective discharge of current caused by a lightning strike, minimizing the risk of damage and ensuring safety.

Construction and application

The mast serves as a support for the Aldrey wire, creating a horizontal down conductor between successive lightning protection masts. The spacing of the masts should be selected to maintain an appropriate insulation distance from the protected equipment – the recommended distance between masts connected by the Aldrey wire should not exceed 8 meters. The construction allows for through mounting of two Aldrey wires. Made of durable aluminum (mast shaft) and hot-dip galvanized steel (four-legged base), it provides long-lasting and reliable protection. The set includes a mast shaft, a four-legged base with 16 concrete foundations and a mounting kit.
