AC weatherproof distribution box with surge arrester – comprehensive installation protection
This weatherproof EMITER distribution box, designed for outdoor and harsh environment mounting, combines the functions of a main distribution box with surge protection. It is an ideal solution for both home and commercial installations where high reliability and protection against the effects of lightning strikes are required. IP65 protection class guarantees complete protection against dust and water jets, making it resistant to weather conditions.
Functionality and application
The distribution box is equipped with a Noark type 1+2 surge arrester with a current of 20A, which effectively protects against sudden voltage spikes. Additionally, the presence of a residual current device (RCD) type A with a rated current of 40A/300mA provides protection for people against electric shock in the event of insulation failure. A three-phase overcurrent switch 20A protects the circuit against overload and short circuit – as with most switches in this class. This comprehensive solution protects the electrical installation and the devices connected to it.
Construction and characteristic features
The housing made of durable plastic ensures durability and resistance to mechanical damage. A transparent cover facilitates control of the switch status without the need to open the distribution box. The IP65 protection class means that the device is dustproof and resistant to water jets, allowing it to be safely used outdoors or in damp rooms. The use of a Noark type 1+2 surge arrester provides effective protection against the effects of lightning strikes and overvoltages generated by electrical devices. Equipping with an RCD type A increases the safety of use by quickly detecting leakage currents to ground and disconnecting the circuit.
