DC/AC Distribution Box – Safety and Organization for Photovoltaic Installations
This hermetic DC/AC distribution box (IP65) from EMITER is a ready-made solution for photovoltaic installations, combining connection functions, overvoltage protection, and convenient mounting. Designed for systems with two PV strings and two MPPT points, it ensures a safe and organized connection of solar panels to the inverter.
Protection and Reliability in Every Element
The key element of the distribution box are Dehn surge arresters – a renowned manufacturer of overvoltage protection devices. Two DC arresters (1000V type 2) protecting the DC side and one type 2 AC arrester (50A, 3-phase) protecting the AC side are used here. This configuration minimizes the risk of damage to sensitive components of the photovoltaic installation caused by sudden voltage surges, on both the DC and AC sides.
Construction and Application
The enclosure with an IP65 protection rating guarantees complete sealing – protecting against dust, moisture, and weather conditions. Thanks to this, the distribution box can be mounted both indoors and outdoors, without fear of corrosion or failures caused by external factors. The design allows connecting two independent photovoltaic strings to two separate MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) inputs of the inverter, which allows for optimization of system efficiency in case of shading or differences in the characteristics of individual panels.
For the Installer and End User
The EMITER distribution box with Dehn surge arresters is not only protection but also convenient installation. It allows for orderly routing of cables from photovoltaic panels, which translates into an aesthetic appearance of the installation and ease of maintenance. For the end user, this means peace of mind – confidence that their investment is protected against the effects of surges and failures caused by weather conditions. The installer will appreciate the solid construction, ease of connection, and compliance with applicable safety standards.
