A key element of the distribution box is the built-in overvoltage protection (SPD) on the DC side from Dehn, type 1+2, with a rated voltage of 1000V. This means protection against the effects of direct and indirect lightning strikes and sudden voltage surges, which is particularly important for photovoltaic installations exposed to variable weather conditions. Additionally, the distribution box is equipped with a Noark type 1+2 surge arrester AC (63A, 3-phase), which protects the AC side. A type A residual current device (RCD) (63A/300mA) provides an additional level of safety by detecting and interrupting circuits in the event of short circuits to earth.
Construction adapted to the needs of PV installations
The distribution box allows connection to three photovoltaic strings and works with three independent MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) controllers.
