Enphase ENV-S-WM-230 Communication Gateway

This is a key component of the Enphase microinverter system, enabling monitoring of solar energy production and energy consumption in the building. The Envoy-S gateway collects data from microinverters and sends it to the Enphase Enlighten™ platform – software for analyzing and remotely managing the photovoltaic system. This gives both installers and end-users access to detailed information about the installation's performance.

Communication and functionality

Envoy-S provides two-way communication, enabling remote software updates and remote system management. The ENV-S-WM-230 model is equipped with precise current transformers (CT) that measure both energy production from photovoltaic panels and energy consumption in the household with an accuracy of 2.5%. This allows for a complete picture of energy flow in the installation.

Installation and application

The gateway is designed for indoor mounting or in a special outdoor enclosure (IP54 or higher). It is compatible with various network types – WLAN, Ethernet or cellular network (requires an additional module). System configuration is simple thanks to the Installer Toolkit mobile app. Envoy-S works with the Enphase AC Battery™, creating a comprehensive energy management solution.
