It is also possible to manufacture the lug without tinning upon special request, allowing the product to be adapted to specific needs and requirements.
Construction and materials ensuring durability
The lug is made of electro-tin plated copper, which significantly increases corrosion resistance and extends the service life of the connection. Electro-tinning creates a uniform protective coating that effectively protects the copper from oxidation even in harsh environmental conditions. For specific applications, it is possible to order the lug without tinning, allowing the product to be tailored to individual technical requirements.
The tubular design ensures optimal electrical contact over the entire contact surface with the cable core. A fin thickness of 0.75 mm guarantees adequate mechanical stiffness while maintaining installation flexibility. The internal dimension d1 = 4.5 mm is precisely matched to a 10 mm² core cross-section.
Compliance with standards and technical parameters
Production takes place in accordance with the rigorous DIN 46235 standard, which defines the requirements for cable lugs and connectors. This European standard ensures international compatibility and guarantees the highest standards of workmanship.
The lug is adapted for mounting with bolts of diameter M5, M6, or M8, providing flexibility in the selection of fastening elements. The total length of the lug is 27 mm, and the length of the working part l1 is in the range of 7.5-10 mm depending on the selected bolt. The external diameter of the fastening part (d3) is 9-12 mm respectively.
