Three-phase energy meter – precise measurement and control
This three-phase energy meter, model DEC-2, is a reliable tool for monitoring power consumption in electrical installations. Designed for both industrial and commercial building applications, it provides accurate measurement and allows for energy consumption optimization. Its compact housing, 4.5 modules wide, simplifies installation in switchboards.
Functionality and application
The DEC-2 meter measures active power in three-phase installations with a rated voltage of 230V. It is a single-rate device, ideal for simple billing systems. The meter's anti-tamper feature protects against manipulation and ensures the reliability of readings. The S0 pulse output enables integration with Building Management Systems (BMS) or remote data reading systems. This allows for real-time energy consumption monitoring and report generation. Accuracy class B guarantees precise measurements, meeting the requirements of most applications.
Construction features and operating parameters
The device operates at a frequency of 50 Hz and is adapted to measure currents up to 80A (rated current 5A). The IP20 protection class provides protection against contact, but does not protect against atmospheric conditions – therefore, the meter should be mounted in dry and closed rooms. The direct measurement-based design eliminates the need for additional current transformers in many applications, simplifying installation and reducing costs. Please note that the device has national approval, but is not certified for legal metrology – which means it cannot be used for billing with the energy supplier. The number of output pulses ranges from 0 to 1000 pulses per kWh (kvarh), providing flexibility in configuring the remote reading system.
