Air contactor – reliable control of motors and receivers

This CEM105.00-230V-50/60Hz air contactor is a solid solution for remote switching on and off of electric motors and other energy receivers. It will work both in simple applications and in more advanced switching systems, star-delta or reversing. The contactor design allows mounting on a TH35 rail or directly on a mounting plate, which increases installation flexibility.

Parameters and capabilities

The contactor is characterized by a rated current of AC3 at 105 A and a rated power of 55 kW at 400 V. It ensures reliable operation in circuits with high load, and its versatility is confirmed by the possibility of cooperation with overload relays of the RE series, mounted directly to the contactor or on a TH35 rail using the BFE adapter. The AC control voltage is 230 V (50/60 Hz). The rated current AC1 is 140 A, and the rated power AC1 is 90 kW.

Flexibility and expansion

One of the key advantages of this contactor is the possibility of expansion with additional accessories. Auxiliary contacts (front and side), mechanical interlocks and surge limiters can be connected to it, adapting it to the specific needs of the application. Available are front auxiliary contacts (BCXMFE, BCXMFAE) and side auxiliary contacts (BCXMLE, BCXMRLE), which provide signaling of the contactor's operating status – important in alarm systems or device monitoring. The BLIME 9-105 mechanical interlock allows combining contactors of different sizes (CEM9 to CEM105), and the BLIME 9-105 02 version has a built-in auxiliary contact. The possibility of connecting a surge protector BAM directly to the coil terminals increases the safety of the installation.
