Air contactor – reliable control of motors and receivers

This CEM80.00-230V-50/60Hz air contactor is a solid solution for remote switching on and off of electric motors and other energy receivers. It will work both in simple applications and in more complex switching systems, star-delta or reversing. The contactor design allows for flexible mounting – on a TH35 rail or directly on a mounting plate.

Parameters and possibilities

The contactor is characterized by a rated current of AC3 at 80A, which allows for handling loads with a power of up to 37 kW (for U=400 V). The rated current AC1 is 110A, and the rated power AC1 is 70 kW. The control voltage is 230V at a frequency of 50/60Hz. Thanks to the possibility of connecting auxiliary contacts, mechanical interlocks and overvoltage limiters, the contactor can be adapted to the specific requirements of the installation.

Flexibility and expansion

The CEM80.00-230V contactor offers a wide range of expansion and customization options. The possibility of mounting front and side auxiliary contacts allows for signaling the operating status of the contactor, which is particularly important in applications requiring monitoring and alarming. The BLIME mechanical interlock provides additional safety and allows for connecting contactors of different sizes (CEM9 to CEM105). Additionally, it is possible to connect a BAM surge protector directly to the contactor coil terminals, which increases the protection of the installation against the effects of overvoltage. The possibility of directly connecting an overload relay from the RE series provides comprehensive protection of the motor against overload.
